A residence permit for work is often a headache, many employers plan to open after Covid situation and think about hiring new employees, possibly foreigners, who could make a different linguistic contribution to push the business to unexplored sectors or markets that have not yet been reached. The EU blue card for highly skilled workers, online residence permits, the new Decreto Flussi and the immigration portal are right solutions for these needs.

The employer must provide a specific power of attorney to a lawyer who will take care of the entire procedure online. It is interesting to emphasize two basic requirements of the procedure: the employee must have a higher education and must have an employment contract for specific skilled work with a minimum annual wage of at least 26,000 euros.
EU BLUE CARD: PROCESS
The procedure takes place online without the presence of the employer. A special permit is issued, which the lawyer then sends directly to the employee in his country of residence. After that, the employee receives a type D visa and enters the territory of Italy to apply and obtain an appropriate residence permit through the mail. The average time for an employee to enter and start work is about 3 months. The time for the actual issue of a residence permit with the possibility of checking on the immigration portal depends on the municipality to which the application is submitted. In very populated municipalities, such as Milan, it takes another 3/5 months more, depending on the period of the year, or 1/2 months in small municipalities.
But let’s recall that the most interesting thing is the opportunity that an employer can conduct all entire procedure online, without the need for moving and at no additional cost.
In the presence of the above mentioned requirements, there is a 100% guarantee of obtaining a residence permit, as this is the regulation of the European Community, directly implemented by the Italian system.
RESIDENCE PERMIT FOR FAMILY REASONS (PERMESSO DI SOGGIORNO PER MOTIVI FAMIGLIARI)
Is it possible to obtain a residence permit for family reasons for the holder of the EU Blue Card? All family members of an employee of the first degree (husband/wife, children, parents) can obtain a residence permit for family reasons.

As never before, a new Decreto Flussi of 2020 will not take into account any quotas for workers to enter. In fact, the category of a simple employee was never taken into account, except for the special Blue Card program for highly skilled workers.
